- Biography
Meera Omar is a Ph.D. student in Public Policy at Georgia State University, where she is also a public finance fellow with the Public Finance Research Cluster. Her academic focus is in public finance, with a secondary concentration in policy analysis and program evaluation.
At the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Omar has contributed to numerous projects analyzing, evaluating, and forecasting revenue and expenditure policies for state and local governments. She has also worked on international fiscal research through the International Center of Economic Policy (ICePP) and is an inaugural member of the Infrastructure Finance Policy Lab (iFPL), which promotes sustainable and equitable infrastructure development worldwide.
Her research interests center on the intersection of public financial management, policy, and equity, with a particular emphasis on international and comparative perspectives.
